Camps by State

LARA  STATE CAMPS

Camp: El Blanquito
* Location 

Yacambú national park.

* How to get there 

By land following the road from Barquisimeto -Quíbor-Sanare-Cubiro.

* Characteristics 

Because it is located in a national park, El Blanquito has a varied and
spectacular flora, several trails for excursionists, camping and barbecue
areas, lagoons, springs and a big open air space with a fresh climate. The
only fumarole known in the country is found in Yacambú.

* Recomendations 

Lodging conditions are very primitive, for which reason you will need
everything necessary for camping.

* Facilities 

This is not a proper camp. It is a group of lodging facilities and places to
install tents that is offered by INPARQUES. There is a big house with
capacity for 40 people, distributed in 4 units, 2 for 12 people and the others
2 for 14 people. Sleeping is in bunks, bathrooms are shared and you have
to bring your linen and kitchen utensils.


Camp: Hovinat
* Location 
Cubiro, calle Palermo con calle Aguacatal.
* How to get there 

By air or land to Barquisimeto. From there by road via Quíbor, up to
Cubiro.

* Characteristics 

A new option that offers an integral health system (prevention and
treatments). Speeches, seminars, lectures and discussions about prevention
and health care, through their natural hygiene system, advice about personal
development, biological agricultural, rest and recreation, basic and special
treatments (hydrotherapy, electromagnetic Japanese shower,
mineral-vitamintherapy, massages, etc.). By reservation only. Mini-mum
stay of 7 days. A companion who shares the room but does not participate
in the program pays 50Tlf..
*Recommendations: Ro-pa fresca pero abrigada para las noches, zapatos
cómodos, sombrero o gorra, traje de baño, protector solar, etc.
Cool clothing, but warm for the nights, comfortable shoes, hat or cap,
bathing suit, sunblock, etc.

* Facilities 

Cabins with 15 double rooms, with private bathrrom and hot water. The
cooking is vegetarian and they teach how to make the food.


Camp:Yacambú - Inparques

* Location 

El Blanquito recreational area, Yacambú national park.

* How to get there 

By land following the road to Quíbor from Sanare.

* Characteristics 

Mountain area with fresh weather. Awareness towards the environment,
educational activities, walks, sleeping in the open air, cooperative and
didactic games, environmental interpretation, among others. For children
and adolescents from 9 to 17 years old. 7 or 9 day packages within the
months of August and September. It includes lodging, meals,
transportation, guides and paramedics. They attend school groups or
individuals at any time of the year.

* Recomendations 

Cool clothing (jeans, T-shirts), bathing suit, sneakers, mosquito repellent,
sunblock, sweater or jacket, raincoat, etc.

* Facilities 

Collective dormitories for 50 people, bathrooms, kiosks, camping area,
barbecues and paths for excursions.


Camp: Los Cristales
* Location 

Road Barquisimeto-Acarigua.

* How to get there 

By land, following the road that goes from Barquisimeto to Acarigua.

* Characteristics 

The installations are located within a natural country atmosphere with
activities such as rapel, horseback riding, cattling activities, bathing and
playing in rivers, excursions and mountain cycling. The installations may
be used for gatherings, workshops and courses. During vacation time, they
organize plans for children of 7 to 15 years.

* Recomendations 

Appropriate clothing for the heat of the region, mosquito repellent, sun
screen, sneakers, hat or cap and photo camera.

* Facilities 

Multiple rooms with private bathroom and air conditioning, swimming
pool, barbecue grill, multiple use courts and stables. They offer services of
food, laundry, infirmary, guards and specialized guides. Capacity for about
40 people.
