Camps by State

CARABOBO  STATE CAMPS

Camp: Rancho Alegre
* Location 
San Joaquín, at the end of Santander street.
* How to get there 
By land, following the route to the west, after passing Maracay and before
getting to Valencia, to San Joaquín.

* Characteristics 
It is a camp for children aged 6 to 14, where sports activities take place as
it has tennis courts, tracks for line skating, skate hockey, basketball,
horses, bikes, rowing and pedal boats, swimming pool. Everything is
included in the price.

* Recomendations 
Sport shoes, hat or cap, bathing suit, mosquito repellent.

* Facilities 
Lodging for 300 people in rooms located in two buildings, one with 200
beds and the other with 100 more. Communal baths, gym-style.


Camp: Finca La Querencia
* Location 
On the way to Canoabo, passed Bejuma.

* How to get there 
By land, following the road. Valencia-Bejuma-Canoabo.

* Characteristics 
These installations are located in a priviledged spot, with a beautiful
panoramic view of the valley. The ground is full of paths to make different
excursions to the forests nearby. This area is rich in fauna and flora.

* Recomendations 
Identification documents, adequate clothing for the climate, comfortable
shoes, binoculars, photographic camera, etc.

* Facilities 
6 cabins to lodge groups of 12 to 100 people with privare bath. It has a
terrace where conferences and social meetings can be held, and a caney with
a beautiful view, multiple sports court, pool, artificial lake and children¹s
park. You can spend a weekend enjoying all the facilities, plus its new
restaurant whose specialty is the Salmorejo rabbit.


Camp: Casa María
* Location 
On the road toward Canoabo, beyond Bejuma.

* How to get there 
By land, road Valencia-Bejuma-Canoabo, covering some 25 km. and
climbing to the right toward Palmichal.

* Characteristics 
Climbing these mountains that then drop into the valley of Canoabo, a lost
country village which refuses to die. Many years ago 
this entire region was one great coffee plantation. Now, you can see citrus
trees, plantings of tubers, etc. For bird watchers, it is a privileged zone for
the species encountered. To make reservations, you have to call Julio
Pérez, who lives close by, and ask him to inform the owners.
Recommended by Audubon, it is special for ornithologists and ecologists.
Price includes lodging, all meals, non-alcoholic beverages, excursions, etc.

* Recomendations 
Identification documents, clothing appropriate for the climate, comfortable
shoes, binoculars, camera, etc.

* Facilities 
A pretty house on some 5 ha. of land full of gardens and flowers. The
outside reminds you of a California-style house; and inside, one notes the
European hand of its owners. It has 6 double rooms, private bathroom, hot
water. Social areas with view of the mountains and valley, small
swimming pool, flowers and plants everywhere. Neat as a pin, this
mountain house is an oasis of friendlyness, thanks to the attention of its
owners, Herr Norbert Flauger and his wife. The food is excellent.


Camp:Hacienda la Concepción
* Location 
Valles de Aguirre, on the way to Barquisimeto. 40 minutes away from
Valencia.

* How to get there 
By land, following the road Valencia-Barquisimeto, vía Aguirre, between
Bejuma and Nirgua.

* Characteristics 
Is a Nature Center created to modify your living habits. It offers integral
health plans, as well as anti-stress programs. Daily sessions about health
economy, breathing, nutrition, exercising and handling stress, are given.
They also give classes of Yoga, Taichi, Relaxation and Meditation,
massages, and cosmetic sessions with natural products.

* Recomendations 
Identification documents, adequate clothing for the climate, comfortable
shoes, photo camera, etc.

* Facilities 
10 rooms, matrimonial and multiple up to 4 people and 7 churuatas with
matrimonial bedrooms, with all the services. Minimum capacity for 40
people. It has got a pool, installations for hydromassage, sauna and steam
bath. Includes three meals, diet planned menues.


Camp: La Churuata
* Location 
On the bay of Patanemo, in San Esteban national park

* How to get there 
By land following the freeway to Puerto Cabello, then taking the coastal
route toward Patanemo.

* Characteristics 
Located on the coastal section of the park, 400 m. from the lagoon of
Patanemo and 1 km. from the beach, it is surrounded by mountains and
valleys filled with enchantment and color. Beach lovers face the keys of Isla
Larga, Santo Domingo, Alcatraz, etc., with crystalline waters and special
places for diving, including a sunken ship, dating from World War II.
Nearby is the small settlement of Los Caneys, rich in tradition where the
beating of the drums invite you to dance and enjoy yourself. 1 hour away
are the thermal waters of Las Trincheras. They organize excursions to
different places.

* Recomendations 
Clothing adequate for the climate, sneakers, bathing suit, hat or cap,
sunglasses, binoculars, camera, etc.

* Facilities 
It has 14 rooms, with private bath and some with air conditioning.
Maximum of 53 guests. Rustic ambiance, it has cool, ventilated social
areas, swimming pool, restaurant, bar, and jacuzzi. Venezuelan meals
featuring, fish, shellfish, and exotic dishes.
